If you read the President's letter, it becomes quite clear that what
separates Power Product Technologies from their competitors, is PPT’s
desire to take on large projects with insurmountable obstacles, and deliver
the solution to the customer on time. The following is an example of Power
Product Technologie's under promising, and over delivering. It is PPT's
“Can-Do” attitude that makes them such a force in the distribution
industry!

When a Denver suburb, was facing the dilemma of how to get water from
one area to another in response to ongoing drought conditions, they turned
to Power Product Technologies and Goodyear hose for the answer.
The drought that continues to plague residents of Denver and surrounding
communities forced state officials to devise a way to channel water from
the Chatfield Dam, whose water is not typically used for drinking, to
the Marsten Dam reservoir eight miles away. The project began in October
2002 and was only recently completed.
Giant Pumps were ordered to make the transfer of the water from one site
to the other, but hoses were still needed to move the water. The chief
engineer on the project insisted that only Goodyear hoses be used to get
the job done.
According to Tim West, Goodyear Technical Manager, Goodyear supplied
six Plicord Water Suction & Discharge hoses for the project.
"This was a hurry-up project because the water had to be pumped
from the Chatfield Dam within a very short time frame due to potential
freezing conditions," he said.
According to West the distance between the two dams is about eight miles.
The chief engineer said "I'd really like to thank Goodyear for a
timely delivery of the hose, especially on a project with such a tight
deadline."
"cooperation and a 'can-do' attitude from our local distributor
[Power Product Technologies, Inc], marketing and factory personnel brought
the product to Denver in record time to pair up with the pumps,"
West said.
"the project started and completed 'on time' and secured valuable
drinking water for the upcoming year of even greater anticipated drought
for the region. It was a job well done by all involved."
